Discover the magic of jewellery-making in this beginner-friendly wax carving workshop designed to guide you through the full creative process of carving your own custom ring. Whether you’re crafting a sentimental piece, a gift, or simply exploring a new creative hobby, this experience immerses you in the fundamentals of traditional jewellery wax work in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Once your wax ring is complete, we’ll take care of the rest. Your ring will be professionally cast in solid sterling silver and polished within 3–4 weeks of the class. Delivery or pickup will be arranged.

Meg will cover:
- How the lost-wax-casting process works (explained step by step)
- How to design, sketch, properly measure and size a simple ring
- How to use wax carving tools safely and effectively
- Different wax types and their specific uses
- Learn different carving techniques for filing, carving, smoothing, adding detail and experimenting with textures
- How to weigh your ring, choose the right metal and calculate costs
