"I was 6 years old when I worked on my first piece of jewellery. At the time, my mother lost a pear shaped diamond from one of her rings and in an attempt to keep me out of her hair, she asked me to try to fix it. Being a curious child, I had already been tinkering with a crystal growing kit in the backyard at the time. So I got to work and sat in the kitchen for days meticulously faceting the perfect replacement stone using nail files and my father’s carpentry tools. I never finished it but in hindsight that moment was pivotal to sparking my fascination for creating beautiful shiny things, and launching me into my career decades later.
My collection is an extension of my personality and my life experiences. My works are influenced by my Portuguese cultural heritage, my interest in architecture, my fascination with the natural world, my childhood spent by the ocean and the richness of precious metals and gemstones.
I love creating one of a kind engagement rings and find it incredibly rewarding to have the privilege of playing a small part of someone’s special love story. The hopeless romantic in me inspires me to create, not just jewellery but, the most unique and idyllic experience as a whole for couples and jewellery enthusiasts. "
